Philippe is an economist by training, but he is more of a futurologist, a particularly brilliant and inspiring forward thinker.
A behind-the-scenes advisor to various European governments and institutions, he analyzes and deciphers the major economic, geopolitical, societal, and environmental issues with clarity, insight, and finesse.
On all fronts, he is one of those who create knowledge.
He teaches at the IAE in Paris and at the Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne University. As director of the Institute of Advanced Finance in Paris, he was a member of the High Council of Public Finances between 2013 and 2018.
In July 2022, he was appointed president of the association “Comité 21” – the largest French network of sustainable development stakeholders, in connection with the Paris agreements.
Founding director of the Finagri chair, financing investment in agriculture, a scientific observatory for green and sustainable finance emissions.
He is very frequently invited to radio/television and interviewed by the international media. Philippe Dessertine is also the author of numerous essays.
